TWO IN A ROW FOR SEDANZER

Sedanzer made it back to back wins at Hawkesbury yesterday for Blueblood Thoroughbreds and trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

Guided by Joshua Parr, Sedanzer left the gates ok and settled on the fence towards the rear of the field. The odds on favourite travelled a bit keen in the middle stages of the race and needed a bit of luck after being caught in a pocket heading around the home turn but fortunately a gap opened up for her and when Parr pushed the button she accelerated quickly to dash to the lead, winning by a length to Cloudwatch in second and Baubo a further ¾ of a length in third.

“Fantastic, it really was”, commented Joshua Parr.

“Her turn of foot is incredible. There’s not a lot of horses that are gifted with a turn of foot like that and when they have a turn of foot like that, they can go through their grades”.

“She’s so versatile, you can ride her wherever you please. Very impressive win”, Parr stated.

Blueblood’s Racing Manager David Mourad commented, “She certainly has good ability and I am sure she will continue to improve with more experience”.

“She’s now earned herself a crack at the 3YO Magic Millions Classic on the Gold Coast in January 2017. It’s very exciting for all the connections”, stated David.

The win took Sedanzer’s prize earnings to just under $45,000 from only 4 starts. Congratulations to all of the connections in Sedanzer, she looks to have a bright future ahead of her.
