SHE’S SO HIGH ON TRACK FOR THOUSAND GUINEAS RACES

BlueBlood Thoroughbred’s up and coming filly, SHE’S SO HIGH, ran a big race today earning valuable black type by finishing 3rd under a length at Moonee Valley in the 1200m Atlantic Jewel Stakes, Listed. Trained by Mick Price and in only her third career start, she has proven today that she is up to bigger and better races during the Spring Carnival.

She didn’t jump away too well and her champion jockey, Damien Oliver, wasn’t left with much option on where she landed in the run, but he kept his cool and allowed her to travel nicely with a bit of cover. She let down with a huge run and rattled off the fastest sectionals of the race for the 1000m, 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m to fly home into 3rd place. Damien said if she had drawn a better gate, she very well may have beaten the winner home. BlueBlood’s Racing Manager, David Mourad commented “we are thrilled with her efforts today and she has now earned herself some valuable black type for our great owners”.

The plan going forward for the filly next start, will be the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude at Caulfield on the 1st of October and then the Group 1 Thousand Guineas, where she has come in today, with most major betting agencies from $51 to $15 to win the Group 1.
